If we destroy the world we know, is another world still possible?
The second half of our film series, listening to filmmakers as theological voices, kicks off with Mike Cahill and Brit Marling’s quietly haunting “Another Earth.”
We’ll gather to watch the film at 7 pm in the second floor seminar room at 74 Trinity Place.
We’ll watch the film, and then Joel will post some resources for reflection. We’ll discuss this film, and Lars von Trier’s “Melancholia” on the 26th.
Free and open to the public! All are welcome!
Here’s the schedule for the rest of the series:
Mar 12: Another Earth
If we destroy the world we know, is another world still possible?
Mar 19: Melancholia
Does the possibility of another world somehow threaten to destroy the world we know?
Mar 26: Discussion week
Join the conversation about these two films, plus readings posted online!
