The Object Ethnography Project is full of objects donated by ordinary people, and each object has a story. All these objects are available for exchange on the condition that the new owner submits a new story, resulting in an online document of an original story, a photograph of the object, and an exchange story. The OEP is a narrative-based economy that explores how stories influence the value, meaning and circulation of objects.

5-6PM Open Mic Show and Tell: Tell others about the objects you’ve brought, or choose an object someone else has brought at tell a story about it to take it home with you.
6-7PM Reception and Exchange: Have some snacks will you read the stories of donated objects, and maybe write out a story to exchange.

Bring an object to donate, a story to share, or simply come and enjoy! We look forward to seeing you there!
