Impulse Pittsburgh Presents: Rainbow Challenge!!

Thank you for everyone who came to our Hollywood Impulse event on May 4th. The party was nothing short of perfection as we not only relaxed on the deck, but also took over the entire club as our dance floor. We also handed out some Oscars to our lucky winners who dressed up for the event!

We are hosting a Pre-Pride event for June! This Impulse party is the weekend before all the major pride festivities. It’s the perfect excuse to get out and celebrate LGBTQ pride in a really unique way (we’ll explain below)! Last year, our pre-pride event was so successful that it brought in over 500 people!

Age: 21+ This club is concerned about age restrictions and liabilities, so we’re keeping this one 21 and over only. Sorry!

About the Venue

This month, we’re going to Mullens! This is one of our biggest venues and has been loyal to Impulse for a number of parties. Who doesn’t want more elbow room (capacity= 1000 people)? Mullens will remain exclusive to the Impulse Pittsburgh party. This is a multi floor party! The first floor contains the dance floor (on a large platform in the middle of the bar action!). The second floor is the VIP area where you can look down at the dancing from the balcony or enter the quiet room, with it’s own private bar and tables. The VIP Area is open to everyone.

Plus, the staff is amazing and extremely supportive of our community! And very efficient with handling large crowds and getting drinks out, pronto! DJ Steph will be pumping her new mixes of Top 40′s, some 90′s, hip-hop, and personally requested tracks. Her music had everyone dancing with the floor PACKED till 2AM. The club practically had to beg us to leave!

There is also an outdoor patio at Mullens with some tables and chairs to enjoy the warm weather.

Theme

We’ve never tried this theme before and are excited to premiere it! We think it will be the perfect excuse to mingle, make new connections and have fun. Here’s how the Rainbow Challenge will work:

1) You choose a colored shirt from the Rainbow spectrum: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, or Violet. You can either find 5 friends to create your own rainbow, or pick your favorite color and try to find others wearing the other colors to create a rainbow.

2) Once you find 5 people to complete your rainbow, be sure to take a photograph of your Rainbow with the Photographer, Erica. Erica arrives at 11PM.

3) This is a fun way to get to meet new people! We really want to see as many rainbows as possible, and it will be amazing to document our efforts!

If you don’t want to be a part of our theme, don’t worry! There is absolutely no dress code. We want you to feel comfortable.

$3 Well drinks from 9-11 PM

Photographer and DJ

DJ Steph will be pumping top the new Impulse mix (Top 40′s, hip hop, 80′s, 90′s, and personal requests) all night long. She takes requests!

Photographer to capture more sexy/cute/insane moments. If you want a group picture with your friends for Facebook, feel free to ask our photographer! If you don’t want any record of this night, add your name to our list at the front table, and we’ll make sure not to put up any pics of you. We’re very strict about this policy!

Safety

We want to make every Impulse experience enjoyable and safe for anyone who attends. Please do not get involved in any of the following:

Smoking pot, getting into fights, threatening anybody, arguing with staff or security, breaking glasses, damaging property, etc.

You will be thrown out and banned from our events for life. There are no warnings or second chances. We will have girls who work for Impulse walking around and making sure everyone is having a safe and enjoyable time as well as in-staff bouncers. For those who come to Impulse to have a fun time and meet new friends, we are fully committed to protecting your safety so we never have any incidents. We promise to work hard for you to make every Impulse an experience to remember so we can continue to be the largest LGBTQ Women’s event in the Western PA region.

Parking

There is a lot next door to Mullens that only costs $4 for the entire night. You can also find street parking that night (there is no @home Pirates game, so no traffic).

We will be offering two bracelets, you can take one, both, or none.

Blue- Means you are interested in hooking-up/close-dancing/flirting in a more risque way.
