Impulse Pittsburgh Presents: Life is a Beach Party!

It’s time for our annual beach party- the event so many of you have been waiting for! It’s our summer celebration- the day to rejoice over summer. What happens at our annual beach party, stays at our annual beach party. The best part is- we get to party at one of the most unique outdoor venues in the city and we’re only doing it for one day this year:

Paradise Beach..

What is Paradise Beach? It is the only location in Pittsburgh with a large secure area that is full of SAND and PALM TREES. When you arrive, you are suddenly on an Island Resort (complete with Tiki Torches). It’s like leaving, without ever leaving. It has a stage, sand bar, tables, volleyball court, and other sports activities as well as plenty of room to dance to the grooves you know so well!

The Theme…

Life’s a bitch/beach! We’re going to celebrate summer and live it up. Leave your shoes at home and bring sandals- or come barefoot! If you have a boat, leave it at the dock instead of traveling by road like the rest of us. Dress to impress: Summer clothes! Whether that means your bathing suit, summer dress, favorite pair of shorts, fav tank, etc.

-We’ve booked a space that can literally have hundreds of people and still feel like there’s plenty of space.

-Completely exclusive party. Only those here for the Impulse Party will be allowed onto our little beautiful island.

-DJ Steph will be pumping the tunes all night!

-Photographer to capture more sexy/cute/insane moments. If you want a group picture with your friends for Facebook, feel free to ask our photographer! If you don’t want any record of this night, add your name to our list at the front table and we’ll make sure not to put up any pics of you. We’re very strict about this policy!

Charity…

Impulse will be supporting the GLCC this month! They can really use your help and all contributions will go to the growth and support of their center! They will be walking around with raffle tickets.. tickets are only $1 per ticket. This puts you in the pool to win a number of prizes:

$50 gift card to Crazy Mocha
A pair of tickets to the Fall Fling LGBTQ Women’s Dance
A gift basket from Enhanced Creations
Another prize to be announced

How does it work? Easy! Once you buy your tickets, you simply put your name and number on the ticket and we will call the winners for their address.

Feel free to talk to members of the GLCC who will be walking around with tickets for info about their organization, ways to volunteer, and events coming up for the LGBTQ community!

Games and stuff…

We will have a volleyball out at the courts– feel free to get some friends together and play a game (this was a hit last year!)

Limbo. Steph will be playing some music and we’ll have a limbo contest. How low can you go?

Bonfire. Some years they light a bonfire for us but if there’s too many people they don’t as safety precaution. There’s a chance they’ll light it this year!

Parking…

There is a HUGE free parking lot that would easily fit all your vehicles right in the front of the venue– park out front and walk down the front path till you reach the party area!

Ways to Mingle if you’re Single and introducing.. HOOK-UP BRACELETS

We will be offering two bracelets, you can take one, both, or none.

Orange- Means you are single and looking
Blue- Means you are interested in hooking-up/close-dancing/flirting in a more risque way.

Safety…

We want to make every Impulse experience enjoyable and safe for anyone who attends. Please do not get involved in any of the following:

Smoking pot, getting into fights, threatening anybody, arguing with staff or security, breaking glasses, damaging property, etc.

You guys know the drill Just keep it safe and friendly! We promise to work hard for you to make every Impulse an experience to remember so we can continue to be the largest LGBTQ Women’s event in the Western PA region.
