Impulse Pittsburgh Presents: Honoring All Women Athletes!

Impulse community- thank you for being you! We had another successful event in September- almost 350 people women attended!

This month, Impulse will be FREE for all to attend!!

Here’s how:

As you may know, here at Impulse we are creating a mobile app for LGBT women called Wing Ma’am. It will be launching in November. Wing Ma’am aims to unify the LGBT women’s community. Find your princess charming, meet new hiking buddies, double date.. all within your city.

Stay in the know- tap through categorized LGBT events that fit your lifestyle. Or if you’re a brave soul- create your own events! Anything from a dance party to Cat Lovers Anonymous meetings.

We’re asking the Impulse community to help our little project get recognized by increasing the number of signups, because sometimes even a Wing Ma’am needs a wing ma’am

The Theme for October…

Last year, this was hands down our most popular event with 550 in attendance. This year, we're bringing the theme back. Athletics and sports is really important to our community.

We are honoring every sport and the women who play them. We will be reaching out to all the amazing women's athletic teams in Pittsburgh to come celebrate with their teammates and friends : The football teams, hockey teams, soccer, rugby, softball, roller derby, bowling, volleyball, etc.

We ask that if you are an athlete, you attend dressed in your team uniform or shirt.

DJ Steph will be spinning the beats. She takes requests! We'll dance the night away.

Charity…

The Pennsylvania Student Equality Coalition (PSEC) is a statewide social justice mobilization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and allied youth in Pennsylvania. As an organized voice of the Pennsylvania LGBTQ youth movement our affiliation is open to youth-led LGBTQ organizations in Pennsylvania. PSEC provides resources and support to LGBTQ youth in local communities and in educational institutions. PSEC works for social support and coordinated campus‐community organizing for LGBTQ equality in Pennsylvania. As part of a broader social justice movement, PSEC works for Pennsylvania to be a Commonwealth that respects the diversity of human expression and identity which provides opportunity for all. The primary focus of PSEC is on local, state, and national safe schools legislation and policies.

NEW VENUE!!

Our venue premiere went so smoothly last month, that we're going back to the same place! Many of you commented on how amazing Taverna 19 is! In addition, there were some of you that couldn't make it that really wanted to check out the space. Therefore- we're going back to Taverna 19 in September (but we will change up venues for future parties of course).

Located in the Strip District, Taverna19 has a nice and classy atmosphere. We'll be inside for this one at the upstairs huge and awesome new club area. We'll have a dance floor, large circular bar, and some seating areas for the folks who get there earlier. There is also a huge outdoor deck that is exclusively ours, connected to the large club area!

Just remember to head upstairs when you get there– we've got the biggest area of the building

Bottle Service

Bottle service is available starting at $130 a bottle and they'll throw in a free bottle.. so 2 bottles for one price which means you reserve your very own table for you and your friends. If you're coming with a group and you all are planning to drink, this is a great deal and much better than if you all buy individual drinks. Message me for details!

Club Erotica After Party

Taverna 19 will be providing free limos after Impulse is over — to and from Club Erotica at any time! It's $20 to get into Club Erotica but all the alcohol is free. You have to RSVP for this by just messaging me here on Facebook.

Safety…

You guys know the drill Just keep it safe and friendly! No fighting, threats, drugs, etc. We promise to work hard for you to make every Impulse an experience to remember so we can continue to be the largest and safest LGBTQ Women's event in the Western PA region. We do offer security at all of our events just to make sure everyone is safe!
