HEY PEOPLE:
Have you been thinking about Mark Carson a LOT this week?
Does it just add on to feelings you’ve already had about the rising tide of violence against queers?
Are you sick of getting harassed on the street, tired of carrying around a fear of violence, weary of working so hard for survival?
Do you feel frustrated at the layers of homophobia and transphobia and violence and social warfare that surround making sense of HOW TO STOP THIS SHIT FROM CONTINUING TO HAPPEN?
Did you go to yesterday’s “action” and it pissed you off?
Do you feel compelled to respond in some other way, or are still hanging on to a host of unprocessed feelings?
If anyone else is having an intense activist moment, or feels compelled to take some sort of action but needs to think it through, or just needs a temporary safe afghan blanket to lounge on and process their feelings –
Please come to Tompkins Square Park tomorrow from 4-7.
Bring anything you feel compelled to : ideas, snacks, anger, stencils, a megaphone, a blanket, friends, feelings, candles, craft supplies, tarot deck. Or just stop by and bring nothing, no big deal. Whatever makes sense to you. We’re just gonna talk it out…. unless something else happens.
It might be a little cloudy but warm, if it rains we can meet up at Nowhere Bar instead.
(conveniently timed for the post-work pre-theater crowd)
