Communion

As part of Cutlog Contemporary Art Fair, “Communion” reimagines the nightclub as a sacred site.

In Act 1 of the performance, participants will be welcomed with a nightlife ritual, ushering in an altered and uninhibited state of consciousness, followed by a dance class which teaches participants a series of movements inspired by traditions of sacred dance, as well as voguing and house music culture.

Act 2 of the performance will evolve into a full-fledged dance party, in which participants put their new moves into practice. Act 1 of the performance will begin promptly at 9:30. Participants are asked to arrive between 9:15 and 9:30. Act 2 will begin at 10:15 pm.
