Flowers and Monsters
Transcender Art Group presents, “Flowers and Monsters” an exhibition curated by Meer Musa with trans-cen-der.
In nature, flowers are a symbol of beauty. In fairy tales, a monster represents what is ugly or difficult to face. In this art show, artists are invited to express their own idea of what is considered beautiful and/or what is considered ugly or uncomfortable within ourselves and how can we express these two opposites in a single image, be it painting, collage art, mixed media or sculpture.
The exhibition will be at Temporary Storage at 119 Ingraham (Brooklyn Fireproof) In Bushwick from July 13th – July 28th, with an opening reception on Friday July 13th.
Pick up ART from the show will begin on the evening of Saturday July 28th and continue through Sunday July 29th.
We are very grateful to Thomas Burr Dodd of Brooklyn Fireproof and Colin Radcliffe for their assistance and generously providing space for the exhibition.
